When Claire and I launched The Tribe Online, we decided to create a manifesto so that all the members could get a really clear understanding of what The Tribe stands for, what our values are and what our vision is.
But I realise that this is important, not just for our online members but also for anyone who comes into our community, whether that be by booking a desk in the office, doing one of our workshops or simply following us on social media.
So today I wanted to share our coworking manifesto with you. Hopefully, this is something that resonates with you.
Our Coworking Manifesto
We believe in the huge untapped potential of female entrepreneurs.
Female entrepreneurs make an important contribution to the economy both creating jobs and driving economic growth. But there are still specific and persistent barriers for too many women when setting up and growing their own business. Together we will overcome these barriers so that we can all thrive in business.
We believe in the power of community.
Running your own business is tough but you don’t have to do it all alone. We believe that, as women, we are stronger when we work together, after all, a rising tide lifts all boats. Our mission is to create a supportive, uplifting and collaborative community that is about more than simply shared interests and goals. We are creating a space where each and every member feels a sense of belonging and safety. A community built on sharing and trust where each member supports the perpetual growth of the others. We raise each other up when times get tough and we celebrate the wins together.
We believe that knowledge is power.
Every female entrepreneur is on her own journey and has lived through different experiences in business. We believe that sharing our knowledge and expertise helps us all to grow and succeed. Helping, supporting and promoting other women in business does not detract from your own success. We support the idea of paying it forward so that others can benefit from our journey and the lessons we have learnt along the way.
We believe that there is no such thing as failure, only opportunities to learn and grow.
We want our Tribe to be full of women who genuinely want to learn and grow and have a proactive attitude towards their own personal and professional development. We take a positive, solution-focused approach to all our challenges whilst creating a constructive environment to foster expansion and success.
We believe in ethical practices and mutual respect.
The way the majority of business has been done in the past often overlooks these fundamentals. We believe it doesn’t need to be that way. Businesses that operate in an ethical way can still be successful by anyone’s definition of success. We value different perspectives, we choose to deliver value and respect each other and base our decisions on our ethics. Whilst this community is based on sharing our knowledge and expertise we prioritise supporting our members through investing in the growth of their business and respecting their boundaries.
And finally, we believe that your vibe attracts your Tribe!
