When the pandemic hit and we were all forced to work from home, it became obvious that the reasons why Stacey had created The Tribe in the first place were now even more pertinent.

Social isolation and loneliness were amplified and women were sadly, disproportionately affected by the pandemic. So it became more important than ever that women find a support network, not only for their mental health, but to help them deal with the challenges of starting and running a business during a global economic crisis.

In a weird twist of fate, Stacey met Claire Collis. Claire is just as passionate about coworking and female entrepreneurship as Stacey, so it made total sense that they combined their skill sets to run The Tribe Online together.

Stacey brings a wealth of knowledge regarding marketing, PR, social media and has an uncanny talent for connecting and introducing people and recommending the tools and services they need.

Claire, on the other hand, is a tech wizard and has years of ed-tech experience. She’s the one you need when it comes to taking your knowledge and turning it into an online course or digital product like an ebook. So if you haven’t yet pivoted your business online, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. She is also currently our Entrepreneur in Residence. Find out more about this here.

Together Stacey and Claire have now been running The Tribe Online since February 2021 and it has grown into a supportive and uplifting space designed for and by the women within the community.

The home of The Tribe Online is a private Facebook group, where all members can interact with and support one another. It is a safe space to seek advice, ask questions, test new ideas, ask for recommendations, find inspiration, brainstorm, build your confidence, connect and get some accountability to keep you on track. We have also built a growing resource library of recommended tools, courses, apps and books.

We hold regular zoom calls which give us all a chance to virtually meet and network with other local female entrepreneurs in an environment that feels safe and unintimidating. Some calls are themed and we discuss our goals and intentions for the coming weeks, we share our achievements and celebrate our wins, we discuss our challenges and brainstorm solutions.

We also invite expert guest speakers, both from within and outside of our community, to join us and share their knowledge and experience. Members can suggest topics they would like to learn about and Stacey and Claire seek out the relevant experts.

For those who don’t feel comfortable coming into the office now that restrictions have eased, we also run virtual coworking sessions. You can join us on zoom for a 90-minute work session where you share what you’re working on, go away and do it, and update us on your progress at the end of the call. This accountability proves particularly useful for those tasks you really just don’t want to do!

We also have our Tribe Online Book Club where we select a book to read together and then discuss it.
